So with a little machining the Italian rifles could accept the Greek ammo. Have you read the last battle about arming Berlin? There were lots of Italian rifles but little ammo, there were tons of Greek ammo but few rifles. as the Germans didn't want to "over arm" these Eastern (ie: Russian) units, but some pictures show Tokharov (spell ?) rifles and a few PPSH-41s, but these could also have belonged to the German NCO cadre, too!
